Help Make a Difference in Our Community With One80 Place
Buy or Sell a Home with Charleston's #1 Team
Today we’re coming to you live inside One80 Place. Speaking with us is Director of Community Engagement/Volunteers Brad Cashman to talk about ways you can help this homeless assistance center.
Right now, they’re in need of move-in kits, which can be found on their website one80place.org. If you visit the website and click the “donate now” button, you’ll find a more comprehensive list of urgently needed items. Topping that list are air mattresses and move-in kit items such as kitchen kits and linen kits. The donation section also lists everything they can use on their Amazon wish list, which makes it easy for you to simply click on the item, buy it, and have it shipped to them.
On a more day-to-day basis, One80 Place is always in need of emergency clothing like new socks, new t-shirts, new underwear, and slip-resistant shoes. This organization has a great culinary training program, and slip-resistant shoes come in handy for those who have completed it and are ready to jump into a new job. All of their emergency items are held in store for when a person arrives and provided to them until they’re ready to move into a place of their own.
If you want to help a great organization that’s dedicated to helping people get back on their feet in our community, visit One80 Place’s website and make a donation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I’d be glad to help.
