If you are preparing to sell your home, certain renovations will pay off more than others. There are two main rooms that buyers look at in terms of home renovations:
1. The kitchen: If you want to put money into your house, buyers love to see an updated, high-end kitchen. Kitchen renovations will definitely add value to your home.
2. The master suite: The master suite should be the master retreat, so if you plan on spending money on your home, make sure your master bedroom and master bathroom look lavish.
On the other hand, I have seen many clients make the mistake of updating things that the buyer can’t even see. For instance, they will spend $20,000 on a new water heater system or their HVAC system. Although these updates certainly benefit the buyer, those renovations will not help you net more money on the home sale.
If you’re not sure which renovations to make to your home, we can make it a little easier for you. Just like on HGTV, we will send a certified home stager to your home at no charge to you. She will go through your home room by room to let you know what you should upgrade and what you should leave alone.
Our professional home stager will let you know which updates will get you more money on your home sale. If you have any questions for us, give us a call or send us an email. We would be happy to help you!
